Hey there! I feel quite content today (which is quite rare haha), the Royal Wedding is only in two days time, and I couldn't be more thrilled to be in London! To top it up, I am on holidays, I found a lovely job, and am back to volunteering in the Oxfam Boutique, which I enjoy a lot! Especially because I'm now going to be more involved with the visual merchandising; I just love putting outfits together for the window display, and it makes me so happy when someone buys things from there! Back to my outfit, I am wearing something I used not to like at all: hareem trousers, or are they chino trousers? Anyway, I've recently been liking them a lot, and I think it's all about finding the ones that suit you! I love these ones from H&M, the print is so cute, and they are oh so comfortable! I'm wearing them with the Next lace top featured in my previous post, and a turquoise ring from Primark!

Bonjour ! J'ai vraiment hâte d'être à vendredi, pour le mariage royal ! Je suis de bonne humeur (c'est si rare haha) car je suis en vacances, j'ai trouvé un boulot plutôt cool, et je suis de retour en tant que bénévole à la boutique Oxfam où j'avais travaillé l'année dernière ! Je m'occupe de tout ce qui est visual merchandising cette année, et ça me plait beaucoup; j'adore créer des tenues en fonction de ce que l'on a, des tendances, tout en restant créative !Pour en revenir à ma tenue, je porte un type de pantalon que je n'aimais pas du tout avant, mais dernièrement j'ai changé d'avis et j'adore celui-ci qui vient de chez H&M ! Je le porte avec mon haut en dentelle Next, et ma bague turquoise de chez Primark ! Sans oublier mon étérnel chapeau de paille, qu'est-ce que je ferais sans lui ? ^^Allez-vous regarder le mariage à la télé ce vendredi ? Je serais à Hyde Park dès l'aube (ou presque) !

I am also wearing my straw hat yet again, I love it so much! The last picture is just to show you my hat a bit better.. Ok it's actually to hide my face, I find it so hard to smile/look natural on the pictures hehe. What are your plans for this Friday? I shall be in Hyde Park from a very early time!

Spring Love

Hey everyone, today is a bit of a different post, I wanted to share with you the things that I'm loving most at the moment! I thought my garden and its trees in bloom would make a nice background! Firstly, I love my new lace top from Next, I just keep wearing it, it's so pretty and I love adding a vintage cameo brooch, (pictured on the right).

If you don't know it yet, I'm a Janeite (in other words a huge fan of Jane Austen) and I keep looking for books about her, and this one is so amazing! It's full of interesting facts about Jane Austen, her family, her life, where she lived, her novels etc -definitely a must have for fans of Jane Austen, and it's quite cheap on Amazon (£6). I'm also loving the trees in bloom at the moment, especially the cherry blossoms but unfortunately I don't have any in my garden!

Finally, my Primark straw hat which I bought last year, and which was such a good investment, seeing as I keep wearing this year as well! What are you loving at the moment?

Mon livre de chevet en ce moment est un livre sur Jane Austen, mon auteur préférée, comme son titre l'indique c'est une vraie bible pour ses fidèles fans ! Iris in Wonderland

Hey guys! I haven't written in quite a while, sorry about that; actually my last project for uni is due on Thursday and then I should have more time to post.

Meanwhile, I thought I'd share with you a couple of pictures that my group took for our magazine project, I was one of the 'models' (I put '' because I am clearly not a model) but I really like how they turned out so here is the result! The first picture will be included in the magazine for our main fashion story on florals so I'm quite happy!

For some reason, this outfit reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, even though I know full well I don't look like her :) The skirt is from H&M, it's mine and I'm so pleased I've found a new way to wear it: with a cute ribbon! I also fell in love with the bird headband which, sadly, is not mine! Perhaps I could share more pictures with you once the magazine is handed in next week? Our magazine features a lot of vintage, and is a bit like Lula,so some of you may like it!

Bonjour à tous ! Voici quelques photos provenant d'un photoshoot auquel j'ai participé à la fac, je suis assez contente du résultat ! Notre project de fin d'année est de créer notre propre magazine de mode, et j'ai été l'une des modèles de mon groupe, le thème était 'florals', soit motifs floraux; la jupe vient de chez H&M, je suis assez contente car j'ai trouvé un nouveau moyen de la porter, avec un joli ruban rose ! D'ailleurs, cette tenue me fait un peu penser à Alice au pays des merveilles, (même si je suis bien consciente que je ne lui ressemble pas du tout héhé) Qu'en pensez-vous ?

Spring outfit: pale skin & florals

The weather was so lovely today, for the first day of Spring, and I though it would be appropriate to wear my lovely new dress from Next. When I saw this dress, I could not help but think of Gok Wan.
Random, I know. But I've been watching his new show regularly, and I just thought he would approve of this dress for my body shape as it's fitted around the waist, but larger around the hips, which is good as my hips are a bit wide. It has a neckline that flatters small busts such as mine, and has batwing sleeves, which creates volume around my otherwise tiny arms. And I love the 70s feel of the dress. Anyway, I can safely say that I love this dress and that I will wear it a lot this season!

Voici ma dernière acquisition, cette robe d'esprit 70s provenant de chez Next, que j'ai porté pour célébrer l'arrivée du printemps aujourd'hui (et comme vous pouvez le constater, il faisait beau !) Ce qui me plait vraiment chez cette robe, c'est la coupe, que je trouve parfaite pour ma morphologie, (et c'est rare !) car elle est cintrée à la taille, plus large au niveau des hanches, et le col est flatteur pour les petites poitrines, bref je l'adore !
J'ai également sorti mon headband à fleurs, qui vient de chez Primark, il faut oser mais je trouve que ça complète bien une tenue, et donne un côté romantique ? Je l'ai mal mis sur la dernière photo par contre, héhé.

Also, I've been wearing this rose headband from Primark for the first time today; I originally bought it for a photoshoot I did for uni, but I really love it so I thought I'd wear it myself! I haven't put it properly on the last picture though, hehe. Oh, and for those who were wondering, I took these pictures in my garden, the neighbour next door was outside the whole time, and I was so worried he might see me and think I was crazy or something, taking pictures of myself with the camera on self-timer! :P

a LFW post -at long last-

Sorry I've been off the blogging radar for a while, some things (mostly bad) have happened to me recently and have prevented me from posting.
Back to LFW, I had a press pass this time round, and a couple of tickets for the first day (Friday 18th)! I know this may not seem much -so many bloggers got tickets from different people and PR companies; but alas, no such luck for me and my little blog.
Anyway, I was still very happy and grateful for those tickets and the press pass (I got the Mulberry tote bag this time!). Here are some of the pictures I took, which are shamefully ugly as I made the mistake of borrowing my flatmate's DSLR camera only to realized a bit late that I didn't really know how to use it!
I attended Paul Costelloe's show first thing in the morning, it was freezing and even though I made an effort with my outfit, I'm no English girl who can walk around in skyscrape heels and without a coat in sub-zero temperatures and therefore opted for my beloved sheep skirt with over the knee socks, my brogues, and my vintage brown coat. I don't have any pictures, since nobody seemed to think my outfit worth being photographed (and I can't blame them) so you'll have to imagine!
I really loved the show, the green dress pictured is to die for, and as all the models had red haired wigs, I could see that the colours could probably suit me too (though my hair is not quite as bright, thank god!)

In the afternoon, I attented Aminaka Wilmont's show, where I bumped into the lovely Jen. The collection is really far from my personal style, yet I loved the shoes, and the models' hairstyles: long straight hair with plaits!

Then we went to see the exhibition space, I really wanted to see Orla Kiely's new collection, and was slightly suprised as the clothes were displayed on cardboard pictures stuck on the walls! I spotted the designer herself, and later Leith Clark, but obviously I admired them from afar, I'm way too shy to talk to them!

I hope you liked this little round-up, I did not have the opportunity to come back during the weekend as I had my family visiting, and then I had uni, but next time I'll really try my best to get more tickets, as it's just so exciting to attend the shows, it really is a unique experience!

P.S: reading my post now, I hope it doesn't sound too negative; I'm not one to whine on my blog or in general, as I don't really see the point, but I have to admit my mum is really ill, I had to go back to France for a week to look after her and so I hope you will excuse my somewhat negative tone, but I really wanted to post -I'm not ready to give up on this blog just yet!

The Elle Style Awards

Hello everyone!

As you may know, on Monday the 14th of February the Elle Style Awards will be held in London. This award ceremony is sponsored by Next this year, and to 'celebrate' this fashionable event on my blog, (which I would SO want to attend!) I thought I'd show you my favourite celebrity outfit of this (past) year and how to recreate it using Next items!
So here it is, featuring Florence Welch from Florence & the Machine, whose style I love and who inspires me a lot! She is one of my style icons, and her music is of course, fantastic! (by the way, anybody watched the latest gossip girl episode which aired yesterday? Florence was singing at the W party in the show!)

Florence wore this outfit at an event organized by the University of the Arts (where I study) last summer, and I think she looks great!

I really love this blouse , it looks really similar to Florence's blouse, don't you think? A great find! These lovely high waisted linen shorts are perfect for Spring, and they look so comfy!
Now this woven bag is just so lovely and vintage-inspired :) Last but not least, even though we cannot see her shoes, knowing Florence's style as I do, I bet she was wearing some cute loafers just like these ones!

My new favourite things

Hello there! These pictures comes straight from my bedroom I'm afraid, the weather has been really bad this past week, and it was just too cold for me to pose outside!
I have been quite lucky shopping-wise recently, and even though I am *totally* broke, I still managed to snap some great things reasonably priced! Earlier this week I found this lovely sheer shirt in Primark; I really like the fact that it's longer at the back, and it looks so romantic, I love it! I can tell that I'm going to wear in so many different ways: tucked inside a skirt, with jeans, or on its own (with leggings or a bodycon skirt as it's so see-through). I also found this cute charm necklace, which you may have already seen on Rose's blog!

Bonjour ! J'ai trouvé cette adorable blouse/chemise chez Primark cette semaine, j'adore le fait qu'elle soit plus longue derrière et je sais déjà que je vais la porter de plein de manières différentes ! J'ai également trouvé ce joli petit collier caméo !

Shirt, necklace and rings: Primark // Cardigan: Topshop // Leggings: no idea, they're ancient!

I'm not usually very lucky during the sales in Topshop, it's just so messy that I tend to give up pretty quickly! But a couple of weeks ago, I found this knitted batwing cardigan in my size, and as I had no black cardigan (crazy I know ^^) I just had to get it!

NEXT blogger event

Hi everyone! I was lucky enough to be one of the bloggers invited to preview the Next S/S11 collection in their headquarters in Leicester on Tuesday. The day was great, it was surreal to meet all these bloggers, some of them I admire a lot, and I felt really privileged to be among this group of stylish ladies!
First, while we were having a lovely breakfast, the Next buyers presented us the different trends that make up the new collection about to hit the stores.

Bonjour à tous ! J'ai eu la chance d'être invitée par la marque anglaise Next pour découvrir leur nouvelle collection avec d'autres bloggeuses mode ce mardi; durant cette journée nous avons également participé à un 'style challenge'; voici mes photos de cette super journée (pour voir un résumé en détails regardez la vidéo à la fin, vous pouvez également me voir parler de la tenue que j'ai choisie !)

My favourite one is definitely 'White Heat', with its lovely romantic blouses and sheer fabrics. I really enjoyed seeing all the moodboards, it's a great way to see where they got their inspiration from, as well as the key colours and fabrics they've used.

Two of my favourite pieces from the collection: I really want this top, it's just so cute; and this dress is amazing, such lovely details!

I met the lovely Jen from A Little Bird Told Me, and Sarah from We Shop Therefore We are, it was so nice to meet you both! :)

We all took part in a style challenge, we were given an item from the new collection, and we had to style it with clothes from the mock-up shop (how amazing is that, seriously?) and then we were photographed! Here is the outfit I came up with, I was given the floral flare trousers, and really went for a 70s look! What do you think? I quite like it!
Finally, here is a video of the day, with me talking about the outfit I made up in the second half; I must say well done to the person who edited this video because I said a lot of cr*p and the final version is really good (apart from the bad accent hehe) so thank you!
And thank you so much to Jenny for inviting me and to the Next team for organizing this great day, I had a fantastic time and cannot wait to see the pieces I loved in store!

New year, new jumper? (word-heavy post)

I know I'm late, but I really wanted to wish a Happy New Year to every single one of you, and to say again that I'm really grateful for every follower and comment so thanks a lot! :) Recently I have been thinking about how I could make this blog better, because there is clearly some room for improvement, and here is what I have decided:

* to take better pictures and as much as possible outside
* to comment more on other people's blogs, if I'm following your blog then chances are I do read every post and enjoy them, but somehow don't always comment, so that's got to change!
* to post more often, at least once a week
* to write in French again
and finally
* to organize a giveaway, as I'm getting closer to 100 followers, I really want to do one this time, and lately I have been looking for cute things I'd like to give away, and I have found some lovely stuff! So follow my blog if you don't want to miss out.. It will be up by the end of January, mark my word!

Jumper and Jeans: H&M // Slippers and belt: Primark // crap hair: my own

Ce pull vient de chez H&M, c'est une longue histoire mais il était sold out de partout (Londres, Lyon, Paris, j'ai tout essayé !) et finalement il y a eu un réassort sur le site internet (car H&M a une boutique en ligne qui livre en Angleterre) et je l'ai reçu la semaine dernière ! Et je l'adore !Les bottines fourrées sont en fait des pantoufles, qui viennent de chez Primark ! (non je ne sors pas avec, c'était juste pour les photos ^^)

But for now, let me show you this jumper. Or should I say: THE jumper. It was on the H&M winter ads, (online and in store) and when I saw it I thought 'hey this doesn't look too bad, it looks warm and I like the print, and for just £9.99.. let's go and get it!'
I thought finding this jumper would be easy. BIG mistake. It was sold out on the website, I went to 4 different shops in London and none had it, and when I went back to France for Christmas,it had sold out in Lyon too! I called other stores nearby and it was the same story. I even tried Ebay without success. As you can imagine not finding it made me want to have it even more the usual story of wanting what you cannot have!)
So after two weeks of almost constant search and disappointment, I was ready to give up,and was just clicking away on the H&M website when suddenly, instead of the usual 'this item is sold out' it went on a different page and there was one size left, mine!
I obviously bought it straight away, received it last week, and I love it! The cut may not be the most flattering on me, but I don't care: I'm in love with my jumper!
The furry shoes are actually slippers, but I thought they matched the jumper (well, kind of) so added them for the pictures!

I am posting this from my hometown, Lyon! I'm in France for the Christmas holidays and today it was 16°! It was really warm and I got a chance to wear my new favourite skirt with my over-the-knee socks without freezing! People were looking at me in a funny way, haha I keep forgetting that in this city people stare if you look ever so slightly different! That's why I love London so much, you can be yourself, dress the way you want and nobody cares!

I really like this outfit, wearing different shades of brown with the cream bow blouse, and I am also wearing my latest vintage find: this Ines de la Fressange bag (a french brand, which I found in London, how random!) it's so lovely and the shape is really practical -I can fit all my stuff in it!

Lyon is famous for its buildings painted in different colours which make for a lovely setting; this is just two minutes from my flat, I really like this area, with the Saone river and the old town nearby!

Elizabeth Lau Pop-up Shop

I've known the brand for a good few months now, and I fell in love with the pretty prints, cute buttons and the lovely feminine style in general! Elizabeth has opened this pop-up shop on 2, Ganton Street (just off Carnaby Street) for a month, it's open until the 24th of December so get there quickly! The London born and raised designer is showcasing her A/W 10 collection, the shop is adorable and I was surprised to meet the lady herself when I went there! Elizabeth was so nice and it was amazing to meet the woman who designs such beautiful clothes. I truly am an Elizabeth Lau fan, and I think the pictures speak for themselves.. Seriously, how cute is everything?

Elizabeth Lau is known for her quirky and feminine style, and the brand, which made its debut at London Fashion Week in 2007, really is a must have!

Elizabeth is not only selling her lastest collection, but also some jewellery made by her favourite designers, such as Gemma Lister (who makes the lovely shiny peter pan collars you can see in the display) and Bark. All the framed prints are made by Little Doodles.

And yes, this is Elizabeth behind her desk on the last picture! :)

V&A News

I am, as you know, a fan of the Victoria and Albert Museum.. Well, a fan is a bit of an understatement, I am in love with this museum and spend my life there!

Anyway, I thought I'd share with you some forthcoming events that I am going to attend, and hopefully some of you will come along!

First, as you may or may not know, the VandA regularly organizes 'Fashion in Motion' events, which are live catwalk shows where designers showcase their collections! Needless to say they are not obscure designers, but only 'la crême de la crême' (such as Vivienne Westwood, Anna Sui, JPG and Kenzo to name but a few).

The next show will present the work of Stéphane Rolland; on the 10th of December. There are four shows during the day, but if you want to grab a ticket, I'd suggest to call quickly because they are going fast! (by the way the shows are free to attend, which is just amazing!)

Stéphane Rolland is a Parisian couturier, who launched his Haute Couture house in 2007, and is well known for "his modern and original interpretation of couture". He is now working on a ready to wear range for 2011.

The second event I wanted to mention is a one day event this Saturday (4th of December) entitled 'Behind the Scenes with the Ballets Russes'. The Diaghilev exhibition is on at the moment, which I would highly recommend because it's just brilliant (there is a lot to see and it is so worth the £7 or so to get in); and this is a study day where we are going to explore the sets, costumes and graphic art associated with Diaghilev's dance company. Because I am a student, I only pay £5 otherwise the day (10.30-5pm) costs £46. I know that this is going to be so interesting and a great way to spend my Saturday, in my favourite museum, learning more about the Ballets Russes!
I will make sure to report back about those two events, and hope it will be of interest to some of you! Here is the number to book any of the events 02079422211 :)

What I get up to at LCF..

Sorry I haven't updated in ages.. I have been literally drowning under work until yesterday, when I handed in SIX subjects for uni.. Urghh I'm only starting to recover from all that lack of sleep after sleeping for 12 hours straight today..
Anyway, here is some styling I did for mh, my styling class! It's nothing much as you can see, but I did this to illustrate one of the trends I was doing for my coursework.. I took the pictures myself as well.
The trend here is transparency; playing on revealing without showing too much, if that makes sense! I wanted it to look quite dreamy and romantic. My friend is wearing a Primark dress and lace body. What do you think?

Oh and I got to model as well, for one of my classmates' trend which was this black and white motif, I don't know how you call it! Seriously, how pale do I look? haha

I'll be back soon with some more vintage treasures, I seem to be quite lucky at the moment! :D

I have been charity-shopping a lot recently, due to my student budget being reduced.. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation so I shall not complain! Also, I love charity shops and vintage clothes, so it could be worse :)

Anyway, here are my latest vintage finds: first up is this 50s inspired coat: I often find that most vintage coats are too long for me, but when I tried this one on it fit perfectly! Actually the sleeves are slightly too short but I don't care! I really love the (fake) shearling collar, and for 10£ I think this coat was too lovely to be left behind!

Next is a cute cat pendant necklace that I got for 2£ in my local charity shop (which is a mere 10-minute-walk from my house, I discovered it recently and I'm so happy!) I love cats, and I like old fashion accessories i.e the kind of things my grandma could have in her jewellery box.. So this one was perfect!

The cardigan on the right is nothing special, but I like the buttons and it's really warm, plus it has black suede patches, and was just 3£. The grey top is from Topshop, it's longer at the back which is nice, a great basic, I should probably get it in other colours!

On another note, it's really high time for me to get a proper haircut, my hair is too long, my fringe has disappeared and it looks crap in general! Any suggestions?

Autumn Essentials #2 (at last)

With Autumn definitely settling in now, I find myself wearing lots of camel/brown colours, in an attempt to match those of the nature around me!
I found this jumper in Zara a couple of weeks ago, I love the shoulder pads, and the material is really nice as well. I got the Mulberry tote bag at Selfridges during Vogue Fashion's Night Out last month (for free!) I love it, it's perfect to fit all my A4 notebooks for uni! The brogues you all know by now, and the jeans and belt are from Primark!
All in all, this is a pretty cheap Autumn outfit :)

I wonder how you are coping with the weather? Eating lots of sweet (or not) food? Staying indoors watching tv? Indulging in some retail therapy? I, for one, chose the latter! ;) See you soon for my latest vintage finds!

Autumn is fast approaching, and I'm sure you will agree that a new season means new clothes, or at least a few key pieces to last for the season (and hopefully a bit longer). So I thought I'd share with you some of my essentials, starting with camel tapered trousers and dark brown loafers: a rather simple outfit yet one I really like and feel comfortable in!

September is here! I'm afraid I haven't written a single article during August, I worked so much.. I have now a new job (yay), and have enrolled at London College of Fashion today (but more on that later!)
For now, let me show you some pieces that I love from Zara Autumn-Winter collection! Their e-shop opened yesterday, and after seeing some of the items below, I decided to have a look IRL.. I must say I could not help to purchase one of them.. Can you guess which one? ;)

- I love this dress because of the colour and shape, it's really feminine and I love the combo white socks/sandals!
- Leopard trousers? So not me, right? That's exactly what I thought when I first saw them, yet I love them and they fit perfectly (this does not mean I bought them hehe)

- The whole military/grunge look is really a major trend, and this parka would be great for Autumn.. Plus I have a newfound obsession for kakhi!
- I love the leather pockets, I think they make this -otherwise- rather plain shirt quite unique!

- Such a cute tweed blazer! It's actually from Zara Kids, they do the same one for women, but at twice the price! So if you're a size 6-8, make sure to have a look there first! Oh, and the blazer has patches!
- Wedge boots, camel colour: sooo perfect (or so I think!)

Lula Pop-up Shop & Jazmine

Hey there! Last week I went to the Lula Pop-up shop at Harvey Nichols, it was such a lovely little shop/exhibition, which has been set to celebrate the magazine's 5th anniversary!

On that day I also met up with the lovely Jazmine from the blog Jazzabelle's Diary, we first went to see the Peter Rabbit Exhibition at the V&A (we both are huge fans of the museum) and then I finally went to the Grace Kelly exhibition (thank you Jazmine :)) Both exhibitions were great!
Here are some pictures of Jazmine, she is so pretty and stylish, she has a talent for creating the best outfits with a mix of vintage and new! If you don't know her blog yet, make sure to have a look, she has a lovely blog (and updates daily!)

Recent purchases & new job!

Hi everyone!

I have been absent from the blogosphere for a while now, but I have a good excuse for it! See more at the end of this post.. But for now, let me show you my recent purchases through -fake- polaroids:

- a loose Comptoir des Cotonniers tee shirt with Léon, the emblematic dog of the brand! I got it on sale this week, I usually cannot afford this brand..

- a white see-through blouse, I really like the sleeves, they remind me of tulips! (from Primark).

- a H&M bodycon silkish skirt, which was also a bargain from the sale!

- a Regency chick-lit! Okay, this one is not really related to fashion, even though they do talk a lot about clothes :D (Splendid - Julia Quinn).

And finally.. the reason why I've been away for so long! I have found a summer job, I am currently working at Selfridges!! It can be hard work, but I really enjoy it and feel so lucky to work in such an amazing department store! Who would have thought the little Frenchie that I am could get a job there? I work a lot, and wear a uniform (black tee shirt, skirt, shoes) so no outfit post for now.. However my giveaway is still on and will up soon! Please bear with me, these are really busy times! :D

Floral playsuit & nude flats

A heatwave is what we got last weekend in London, with temperatures reaching 30°! It was a perfect time for some sunbathing in Hyde Park, and a great opportunity to wear my new floral playsuit, and my nude flats!

I had been looking for a playsuit for quite a while, but they never looked quite right to me.. until I saw this one.. I always fall for florals, it's getting ridiculous.. I think that about half of my wardrobe is composed of floral prints :) The flats are made of leather and were rather cheap (£25), I just keep wearing them day in, day out! Definitely a good investment!

Do you own a playsuit yourself? If so, where did you get it? (I am quite tempted to buy more but don't know where to look, so fire away!)

The Oxfam Curiosity Shop #2

After showing you what was happening behind the scenes at Selfridges, I thought I'd show you the Oxfam Curiosity pop-up Shop itself! So here are some selected pictures of the shop, which was so busy and successful that it will most likely be set up again soon!

Some skirts inside a little shed.. And some statements regarding women, as the shop had been set up to raise funds for women's charities.

Alexa Chung's Mulberry suit anyone? I thought so..

Unless you prefer these lovely Miu Miu flats donated by Alison Goldfrapp.. It's up to you! And on the right is a photobooth, where you could get lovely vintage-looking pictures!

Finally, some lovely homeware and decoration! The shop was amazing, and you could find so many bargains! I definitely enjoyed being part of this experience!

The Oxfam Curiosity Shop

Hey! I've been meaning to tell you about a very exciting project I am taking part in and which could definitely be of interest to some of you! Oxfam has teamed up with Selfridges (in London) to open a pop-up shop for a week in the luxury department store, from the 14th of May (tomorrow) to the 20th of May.

The Oxfam Curiosity Shop will showcase thousands of vintage clothes, accessories and homeware; as well as clothes donated by celebrities, such as by Alexa Chung, Elle Mac Pherson or Annie Lennox (among many others!) All the money raised will go to different women's charities supported by Oxfam.
Being a volunteer for Oxfam, I've had the opportunity to help set up the shop hence working in Selfridges for a few days, which has been very exciting! I will also work there when the shop is open, so why not come and say hi? Some celebrities will also be part of the staff, so this will definitely be a unique shopping experience!

As you can see, there were of loads of clothes to sort, steam, and price! And in case you were wondering, the prices will be very attractive, as the shop has been set up by Oxfam. There are a lot of designers clothes, too, so you will find bargains aplenty!

I love this dress! And floral shorts are a must for Spring, don't you think? :D

The pop- up shop opens tomorrow (Friday) at noon, and will be located in the Ultralounge (lower ground floor) in Selfridges..

Blogger Talk @ Sketchbook Pop-Up Shop

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to show you what I did on Thursday afternoon.. I was at the Sketchbook pop-up shop in Carnaby Street where I attended a 'Getting Started Lecture' about blogs, given by the amazing Jill (Polka Dot) and Jen (Style Crusader) !

But first, you may be wondering: what is the Sketchbook pop up shop? Well, Sketchbook is a quaterly magazine 'that showcases established and emerging creative talents in fashion, design and culture with a focus on features, photography and illustration'. The shop is great, and will close down on the 14th of May, so if you're in London, I can only recommend you to check it out before it's too late. The last lecture will be given by Susie from the blog Susie Bubble, (on the 13th), I can't wait to go!

Back to Thursday; the talk was brilliant: it was great to talk about blogs, fashion, the blogging 'community', and Jill & Jen gave such helpful advice on how to develop your blog, as well as talking about their own experience! I also got to meet lovely people there, and I am looking forward to seeing them again soon (btw I didn't write any of your links down, so please feel free to leave them)

Bonjour ! Voici mon nouveau short taille haute provenant de la Garden Collection chez H&M. J'adore ce short, il allonge les jambes (même si ce n'est pas flagrant sur les photos ^^) et se marie bien avec toutes sortes de hauts, ici ma marinière made in St Malo ! Il est parfait pour le printemps et depuis que je l'ai, je n'arrête pas de le mettre :)

Another recent acquistion: this straw hat from Primark! I'm usually not so fond of hats, but this one is so cute with the little bow on the side that I could not resist! And it cost me just £3!

LCF & together we have a voice

Je suis enfin de retour ! Après un retour à Londres plus que chaotique (merci le volcan) et des essays à n'en plus finir, je peux enfin reprendre ce blog correctement ! Et avec de très bonnes nouvelles.. J'ai reçu une réponse de London College of Fashion et... je suis prise !!! Je vais donc rester une année de plus à Londres (voire deux) pour étudier le journalisme de mode ! Je suis tellement heureuse et cela veut aussi dire que j'aurais des choses très excitantes à vous faire partager à partir de Septembre !

I am finally back, after a rather chaotic journey (courtesy of the ash cloud) back to London and some endless essays! I can now go back to posting more regularly! And I have some good news to share.. Remember about my interview with London College of Fashion? Well I got a letter from them and.. I got in!! Which means I'll get to stay one more year in London (if not two) and that I will study fashion journalism (among other amazing things!)

I am so happy, and this also means I will have a lot of exciting things to share with you from September onwards!

Sinon, je voulais vous parler d'un projet lancé par l'adorable Jill du blog Polka Dot: son blog est majoritairement un blog de street style basé à Londres, il est absolument génial je vous recommande d'aller y jeter un oeil !

Elle est entrée en contact avec American Apparel afin de leur proposer de prendre des photos de quelques vêtements de leur dernière collection portés par une des personnes qu'elle avait photographiée dans le cadre de son blog ! La marque a accepté, et le résultat se trouve ici !

Jill souhaiterait maintenant montrer à la marque que la blogosphère a une voix, une vraie influence ! Pour participer à ce projet, il suffit juste de poster la photo ci-dessus sur votre blog, en parlant brièvement du projet, ou bien de laisser un commentaire sur l'article de Jill (et le mien pourquoi pas :D)

The Victoria & Albert Museum

Bienvenue au Victoria & Albert Museum..
Ce musée londonien, ouvert en 1852, qui doit son nom à La reine Victoria et au prince Albert, comprend la plus grande collection d'arts décoratifs au monde. Il se trouve à South Kensington, et c'est mon musée préféré !
Voici donc quelques photos, qui j'espère vous donnera envie de visiter ce musée (gratuit) lors d'une visite à Londres; c'est vraiment un incontournable !

Commençons par le commencement.. En entrant dans le musée, vous pouvez voir la Gallerie Hintze, qui traverse le musée d'un bout à l'autre, et qui est vraiment impressionnante, avec ses splendides scupltures (voir photo).
Sur la deuxième photo, voici une partie du bâtiment vu de la cour intérieure, où l'on peut prendre l'air et s'asseoir à la terrasse, quand il fait beau bien sûr.. :D

Welcome to The Victoria & Albert Museum..

This London-based museum, opened in 1852, was named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Situated in South Kensington, it is "the world's greatest museum of art and design" and also happens to be my favourite one. Here are some selected pictures, which I hope will make you want to go and see it! UK readers, you've probably been already.. But my advice would be: go again! :D

Let's start with the beginning, shall we? After entering the building, you will find yourself in an amazing gallery, full of sculptures; called the Hintze Gallery. It goes from one end to another, and is quite impressive. On the second picture, you can see the building as well as the Madejski garden, which is really lovely when the weather is nice (which was not the case that day!)

Allons maintenant visiter la Gallerie Médievales et Renaissance, ouverte en Décembre 2009. Sur les photos, vous pouvez voir l'une des immenses salles, qui reconstitue une ville médievale, (il y a même une église au fond !) Cette gallerie a été en préparation pendant 10 ans, et la collection est à ce jour la plus complète au monde.

Let's now move on to the Medieval and Renaissance galleries, recently opened (December 2009). The main gallery recreates a medieval city, you can even find a church at the end! These galleries have been prepared for more than 10 years, and it is to this day the most complete collection ever.

Comme dans tout musée qui se respecte, le V&A ne manque pas de peintures, provenant de diverses périodes et artistes.. Ce que j'aime beaucoup, c'est que dans ce musée les galleries ne sont pas surchargées, ce qui rend la visite très agréable !
Sur la deuxième photo, vous pouvez voir des mini-portraits faits au 19ème siècle.
Of course, the V&A would not be a museum without its numerous paintings, from various artists and eras. However, the painting galleries are not too "full", which makes the visit very agreeable. On the second picture, you can see miniature portraits from the 19th Century.

Passons enfin à ma partie préferée, la gallerie sur la mode ! Il y a des robes absolument sublimes, et les vêtements présents vont du 18ème siècle à nos jours. La collection est très variée, et je trouve qu'elle permet de bien voir l'évolution des tendances. La robe verte a été donnée par Vivienne Westwood.. N'est-elle pas splendide ?

Finally, I wanted to show you my favourite gallery, which, quite predictably, is the Fashion gallery. The dresses are absolutely wonderful, and the clothes on display go back to the 18th century up to now. I think it shows very well the evolution of trends over the centuries. The green dress below was donated by Vivienne Westwood. Isn't it just gorgeous?

The Garden Collection

Hé oui, j'ai moi aussi craqué pour cette collection made by H&M ! J'étais à la recherche d'une robe "romantique" sans manches beige/crème, et quand j'ai vu celle-ci, j'ai su que c'était la bonne !! J'ai beaucoup apprécié le fait que la robe soit faite de coton bio, et que son prix reste abordable !

La voici donc, en direct -ou presque- d'une cabine d'essayage ! :)

As you can see, I too fell for the H&M Garden Collection on Thursday! I had been looking for a romantic beige/cream sleeveless dress for a while, and when I saw this one it just had to be mine! Plus it is made from organic cotton, and was a real bargain!

So here it is, live -well, not really- from the changing room! :)

Je la trouve vraiment jolie et j'adore les petites fleurs au niveau du col, ainsi que les poches sur les côtés. J'ai également acheté un serre-tête à fleurs assorti, pour compléter le look "petite fille modèle" !

I find the dress so pretty, and I love the little flowers on the collar as well as the pockets on each side (which you can't see ^^). I also bought a matching flower headband, to complete the "little girl" look!

Floral Skirt + Lula Issue #10

Cette jupe vous dit quelque chose ? C'est normal, elle provient de chez H&M, mais de la collection printemps/été 2009 ! Je l'avais vu sur plusieurs blogs l'été dernier, puis l'avait cherchée mais sans succès. C'est en Décembre que j'ai recroisée sa route sur ebay UK (une vraie mine d'or) et j'ai remportée l'enchère pour la modique somme de 5£ !
C'est la première fois que je la porte, de façon très simple avec un haut rose à épaulettes et mes "nouvelles" bottes vintage provenant de chez Oxfam !Je trouve d'ailleurs la tenue un peu trop simple, avez-vous des suggestions de hauts que je pourrais porter avec cette jupe ? Pensez-vous que je devrais mettre une ceinture avec ?

Does this skirt ring a bell to you? If so, that's normal, because it is from the H&M S/S 09 collection! I had seen it on many blogs, loved it but failed to find it.. Until, last December, I found it on ebay UK and won the bid for £5! I've worn it for the first time today, and as you can see the outfit is quite simple: a shoulder pad pink top, the floral skirt, and my "new" vintage leather boots from Oxfam!

I'm trying to think of other tops I could team the skirt with, because the ensemble does seem too simple to me! Any suggestions would be more than welcome! Also, do you think a belt should be added ?

On the last picture, I'm proudly holding the last issue of Lula magazine, which is by far my favourite one! Unfortunately, it only comes out twice a year, and is quite difficult to find.. But I managed to get hold of one at Selfridges :) If you don't know this fashion magazine, I highly recommend it to you, especially for its lovely romantic pictures.. I find them so inspiring! First Spring Outfit!

Les beaux jours sont en train d'arriver à Londres.. Me voici donc de retour avec une tenue printanière, que j'ai portée lors d'une occasion assez spéciale !
Comme vous le savez -ou pas- j'ai comme projet d'étudier le journalisme de mode après ma licence d'anglais, et j'ai postulé à London College of Fashion pour l'année prochaine.. Et ce mardi avait lieu mon entretien !
J'ai donc fait un "effort" au niveau vestimentaire, tout en privilégiant le confort (un entretien est déjà assez stressant comme ça, si en plus on met une tenue dans laquelle on n'est pas 100% à l'aise c'est le désastre assuré !)
Tout ce que je porte ici sont donc des choses que vous avez déjà vues.. Sauf cette adorable blouse H&M (que vous avez pu voir chez Punky B récemment), et qui est soldée à Londres, je n'ai donc pas hésitée une seconde !

Spring has finally arrived in London, and so has my motivation to post! Here is my first spring outfit, which I wore on a very special occasion.. On Tuesday I had an interview with London College of Fashion, where I've applied to for next year!
I decided to go for something that I wear quite a lot and which looks like me, if that makes sense! So that is the reason why you've seen most of these clothes before! Apart from this lovely H&M blouse, which is soo cute, I adore the lace collar!

C'est vraiment basique, j'ai juste pris deux petites mêches que j'ai ramenées ensemble derrière et que j'ai attachées avec un petit ruban noir ! J'aurais préféré faire deux jolies tresses mais je n'ai pas eu le temps :)

Finally, here is the hairstyle I decided to make at the very last minute, -please forgive the weird looking face, I was quite stressed out!- It is really simple to make, just take two bits of hair that you gather at the back of your head and tie with a ribbon! Hopefully it didn't look too bad.. Any thoughts? =)

Charity Shop Finds (Part 3) + Topshop Zine

Hey ! Tout d'abord désolé pour cette longue absence... Je n'ai pas une minute à moi en ce moment !
Aujourd'hui je vous présente mon dernier achat de chez Oxfam, ce blazer bleu marine provenant de chez Harrods ! La trouvaille dont je suis la plus fière, car ce blazer est un vrai basique, j'adore tout particulièrement sa coupe et ses petits boutons dorés ! Hey there! Sorry for the lack of post.. I've been really busy! By the way, welcome to my recent followers, I'm really glad you like my blog :)
So, moving on to my third bargain from the Oxfam Boutique, this navy blazer from Harrods! I'm so happy I found it; it's really a must-have in everyone's wardrobe I think... I love the cut of the blazer and its gold buttons! If I tell you how much I paid for it I'm sure you won't believe me: £8! Quite good, isn't it?

Les deux photos qui suivent proviennent du magazine distribué chez Topshop, pour les saisons printemps-été 2010. Topshop avait lancé une sorte de concours sur Facebook, en demandant aux étudiants de partager leurs bonnes adresses locales, qu'ils soient au Royaume-Uni ou aux Etats-Unis. J'ai tenté ma chance, et j'ai été selectionnée car mon adresse londonienne leur a plu :D Je suis vraiment contente, moi qui adore Topshop c'est vraiment un honneur de figurer dans leur magazine !!

The last two photos are from the Topshop Zine S/S 10, that you can find in every Topshop. Topshop had asked students via Facebook to share their favourite local place, whether in the UK or the US. I submitted mine, and I was one of the chosen writers to be published on the Student Zine! I am really honoured, I love Topshop so much and I'm glad they liked my most favourite place in London! (My article is on the right).

J'ai récemment découvert le groupe Florence and The Machine, et j'aime beaucoup leur premier album, Lungs. Après m'être un peu plus renseigné sur ce groupe, je me suis rendue compte que non seulement j'aimais leur musique, mais surtout le style de la chanteuse, Florence Welch. Cette chanteuse anglaise de 23 ans a un style vraiment particulier, féminin, romantique, elle a vraiment son propre univers, ce qui fait d'elle une de mes style-icons !
Son univers peut être parfois baroque, un peu médieval (comme sur la photo d'en dessous)...

I've recently discovered the band Florence and The Machine, and I really love their debut album, Lungs. After making a bit of research about them, I realized that not only did I love their music but also the style of the front singer, Florence Welch. This 23-year-old British girl really has her own, unique style, and she is definitely one of my modern style-icons! Her style can be baroque, medieval-ish (like on the photo below):

Elle a un style vraiment unique, et je dois admettre qu'elle m'inspire vraiment, étant rousse, et ayant une coupe de cheveux assez similaire à la mienne.. // Her style really is unique, and I must admit she inspires me a lot, having red hair too, and a hairstyle quite similar to mine..

Florence avec une robe bodycon, un perfecto en cuir et des chaussures ressemblant au Zizi de Repetto.. Peut être même que ça en est ? (appel aux connaisseurs !)// Here Florence is wearing a bodycon dress, a cropped leather jacket, and Repetto-like shoes.

Voici pour finir une photo de Florence lors d'un de ses concerts, portant le gilet à plumes Topshop qui a eu un succès fou l'été dernier !! En bref, son style n'est jamais figé, et j'admire vraiment sa créativité ! Vous pouvez écouter l'album ici ou sur Spotify, je vous le conseille vraiment ! :)

Finally, here is a photo from one of their concerts, Florence is here wearing the infamous Topshop feather top, which was such a hit last summer! Charity Shop Finds (Part 2)

Voici comme promis mon deuxième achat provenant de chez Oxfam.. Ce gilet (oui encore un!) en laine et soie Jigsaw, une marque qui me fait assez penser à Kookai, avec ces matières douces, ces coupes et couleurs romantiques..
Je le porte ici avec mon jean Cheap Monday et mes bottines vintage en cuir Emmaus.
Au fait, je me demandais: ça vous dirait une petite virée à Londres avec moi ? Pas littéralement, (sauf si vous êtes sur place aussi ^^) mais à travers quelques photos de mes endroits préférés ? =)

Here is my second buy from the Oxfam Boutique I work in: this cardigan (yep, another one) from Jigsaw, made of wool and silk. This brand reminds me of the French brand Kookai, with its soft materials, and its romantic cuts and colours..

I've teamed it with my Cheap Monday skinny jeans and my vintage lace-up boots from Emmaus.

By the way, I was wondering: would you like to take a little tour of London with me? Not literally I'm afraid (unless you're here as well, in that case I'd love to), but through some pictures of my favourite places? Let me know what you think about it! =)

Charity Shop Finds (Part 1)

Hey everyone!

Je travaille depuis quelque temps chez Oxfam, un charity shop où sont vendus des vêtements vintages à prix très attractifs.. Et celui ou je travaille -je suis bénévole- est un Oxfam un peu différent, une boutique, les vêtements proviennent de donations, et nous ne mettons en vente que des vêtements en très bon état, et bien souvent de grande marque. Pour la férue de mode vintage que je suis, je vous laisse imaginer le bonheur que c'est !
J'ai récemment fait quelques achats, que je vous présenterais un par un.. Voici le premier: ce gilet en laine et angora de la marque américaine Aphorism, gris à motif paisley et avec un adorable petit ruban en velours intégré.. le détail qui m' a fait craquer !

I've been volunteering at Oxfam for a little while now, the Oxfam I work in is slightly different from the ones you usually find in the UK; this one is a "boutique", where we only sell clothes in perfect condition and from expensive brands, and of course for very attractive prices! Needless for me to say how happy I am to work there! Recently I made some great bargains, that I'll introduce to you one by one.
Let's start with this cardigan from the American brand Aphorism. Made of wool and angora, the cardi is grey with a paisley print, and there is a velvet black ribbon included.. I just fell in love with it!

Winter Uniform

La neige est beaucoup tombée à Londres ces derniers jours... Alors je privilégie le confort et mets des vêtements qui tiennent bien chaud !
Voila ma tenue du moment: un bonnet fait maison, un col-écharpe Topshop en laine qui est tout doux, mon manteau à légères épaulettes Primark, auquel j'ai rajouté un ruban, et mes bottes de pluie façon croco (Primark, encore et toujours :D). Sans oublier mes gants H&M en angora avec un petit noeud sur le dessus.

It has been snowing quite a lot in London these past few days, so I essentially go for warm and comfy clothes!

Here is my winter outfit that I keep wearing: a home-made beanie, a Topshop snood which is really soft, my shoulder pad Primark coat (I've added a black ribbon to make it more unique), and my wellington boots with a crocodile print (Primark, once again). And let's not forget my H&M gloves made of angora wool with a cute little bow.

J'ai craqué.. Comme prévu.. Quand j'ai vu ces derbies en vrai chez Topshop vendredi, je n'ai pas pu résister.. La forme est vraiment parfaite, elles sont très confortables, et le cuir est de très bonne qualité...

Bref, je vais arrêter de me chercher des excuses, allez si une dernière: j'ai eu 10% de réduction car je suis étudiante ! :D*

Je vous montre dans la semaine des photos avec ma robe H&M (que vous n'avez pas encore vu) et qui va très bien avec les derbies !

I did it.. Just like I knew I would.. When I saw these Topshop brogues in 'real life' on Friday, I just couldn't resist! The shape really is perfect, they're comfy, and I can tell the leather is of a very good quality...

Alright, I'll stop looking for excuses to explain my purchase. Ok, just one more: I got 10% off as I'm a student! :D*

Noël approche à grand pas... C'est donc l'occasion pour moi de partager avec vous ma (fashion) wish list de Noël !**

De haut en bas et de gauche à droite :

- The Teen Vogue Handbook: LE guide pour les personnes s'intéressant à une carrière dans la mode (dont je fais partie ^^). J'aime beaucoup le magazine Teen Vogue et je pense que ce guide ne va pas me décevoir ! Il n'est pas encore sorti en France (ni en Angleterre), le seul moyen de se le procurer -à ma connaissance- est sur amazon.com.

- "Tour de cou" Topshop: j'aime beaucoup la couleur beige/rose pâle, et puis ça change d'une écharpe traditionnelle !

- Blouse Paul&Joe Sister: bon je vous arrête tout de suite, cette blouse n'est pas dans mes moyens.. C'est juste pour vous montrer le genre de blouses que je recherche :D

- Jupe en velours H&M: je cherche une jupe en velours depuis un petit moment et celle-ci semble parfaite, et pour un tout petit prix !

- Barrette à noeud/ruban rose: parce que c'est toujours joli une petite barrette rose.. Et parce que j'aime les rubans ! :)

- Bague H&M: je trouve qu'elle fait assez vintage, c'est le genre de bagues que j'adore.

- Gloss Lancome Juicy Tubes: car je n'en ai plus !

- Trousse à maquillage Cath Kidston: à motif fleuris, je craque !

- Derbies Topshop: j'ai gardé le meilleur pour la fin.. En cuir, marron, la forme parfaite.. Je ne pense pas attendre jusqu'à Noel pour me les procurer.. Car je connais bien Topshop, et ses merveilles SOLD OUT -trop rapidement !

- Topshop Knitted Snood: traditional scarves are boring.. This snood is not. Plus I love the colour.

- Paul&Joe Sister Blouse: totally unaffordable for my student budget.. It's just to show you the kind of blouse I'm looking for :D

- H&M Velvet Skirt: black, velvet, skirt.. Need I say more?

- Pink Ribbon Bow: because it's cute, and because I love ribbons :)

- H&M ring: a nice shape, a vintage look = the kind of ring I've been looking for for ages!

- Cath Kidston Make up Case: such a lovely floral print..

- Topshop Leather Brogues: the perfect colour, the perfect shape.. I'm not going to wait until Christmas to buy them though.. Because I know Topshop.. The best stuff is always sold out way too quickly!

Sonia Rykiel pour H&M

Tout juste trois semaines après le lancement de la collection Jimmy Choo, H&M frappe de nouveau fort avec la collection Sonia Rykiel pour H&M. Celle-ci sera divulguée en deux temps, tout d'abord le 5 décembre, où l'on trouvera seulement de la lingerie et des accessoires. La deuxième collection sera disponible en février 2010 et comprendra cette fois du prêt à porter.

** Elle ne sera disponible que dans 250 H&M, une émeute est donc à prévoir pour les chanceuses vivant près d'une de ces boutiques !

Je pense que Londres en fera partie, et cette fois je compte m'y rendre (je ne suis pas allée voir la collection Jimmy Choo le jour du lancement, la plupart des pièces ne m'intéressaient pas...)

n.b : Afin de présenter toute la collection lingerie, un défilé est organisé ce soir même au Grand Palais à Paris, et celui-ci va être retranscrit en direct ce soir à 23h sur le site d'H&M !

Just three weeks after the Jimmy Choo for H&M collection was launched , a new one is available in stores this saturday, the 5th of December, and this time it is designed by Sonia Rykiel, the French designer.

This limited collection will be launched on two different dates : first the underwear and accessories collection will be available this saturday.

The ready to wear collection will be in stores on February 2010. This latter will only be available in 250 selected H&M, and it is very likely to attract the fashionistas!

I'm pretty sure London will be one of them, and this time I'm planning to go (I didn't go to see the Jimmy Choo collection on the first day, I'm not a huge fan of his creations..)

In order to present the full Sonia Rykiel underwear collection, there is a catwalk show tonight, at the Grand Palais, in Paris, and we get a chance to see it live from 10pm (GMT) on the H&M website: I'm definitely watching it!

Audrey Hepburn Auction

Depuis que je suis à Londres, je n'avais pas vraiment eu l'occasion d'assister à un quelconque évènement lié au monde de la mode..

Il est donc grand temps de remédier à celà, et c'est en tombant par hasard sur un article de l'Independent que j'ai trouvé quelque chose de prometteur,
la prochaine vente aux enchères de Kerry Tailor, spécialistes en vêtements vintage et anciens.

Celle-ci promet d'être un grand succès car va être mis aux enchères une importante collection provenant directement du dressing d'Audrey Hepburn !

J'aime cette actrice depuis des années, pour sa beauté, son élégance mais surtout ses vêtements à tomber ! Et ce n'est pas étonnant, car tous les vêtements qu'elle portent dans ses films ont été crées par Hubert de Givenchy, à la demande express de l'actrice.

La vente à lieu le 8 décembre à La Galleria, à Londres. Bien évidemment je ne vais pas aller à cette vente, cependant dès le 6 décembre les visiteurs peuvent venir admirer les vêtements qui seront mis aux enchères deux jours plus tard, et je ne raterais ça pour rien au monde !

Since my arrival in London, I did not have the opportunity to see anything fashion-related. It is now high time for me to put an end to this.

After reading an article in the Independent, I found something which sounds very promising: the next auction by Kerry Taylor. This auction house is specialised in vintage and antique fashion.

Their next auction is set to be a success, as they will be selling an important part of Audrey Hepburn's clothes.

I've admired this actress for many years, for her beauty and elegance, but also for her 'to-die-for-clothes'!

This is not surprising, as most of her clothes were all made by Hubert de Givenchy, the infamous french Designer.

This auction will take place on the 8th December, at the Galleria, in London (SW1). Obviously enough, I will not go the auction itself but to the exhibition starting on the 6th, which is open to visitors.

Here is my selection of some pieces I am most looking forward to seeing there :

Tout d'abord cette robe d'esprit Régente, créée par Yves St Laurent et portée par Audrey en 1970. Cette robe est estimée à 2500£. Cette robe est tout simplement sublime, les détails sont splendides et ce ruban.. Oh que ne ferais-je pas pour une robe pareille ?

First, we have this empire line gown, designed by Yves St Laurent and worn by Audrey in 1970. Estimated for 2500£. This dress is absolutely amazing, everything is in the details, and this velvet ribbon is splendid. I love ribbons.

Deuxième robe, deuxième coup de foudre. Celle-ci est une robe haute couture par Givenchy, portée par Audrey dans le film Ariane, datant de 1957. Encore un ruban? Oui Madame, j'aime les rubans. Audrey aussi apparemment :)

Enfin, dans un tout autre style, voici une marinière de chez datant de 1956, de Mark Cross. Simple, mais élégante. Et estimée à 1200£ quand même !

Little Boots

Hey everyone!

Chose promise chose dûe voici mes nouvelles bottines à clous Primark !

Elles sont très rock, ressemblent pas mal à celles de Topshop, oui mais pour trois fois moins cher :)

(C'est presque trop facile de trouver les chaussures de ses rêves ici, il suffit d'aller chez Primark et pour moins de 20£ on trouve son bonheur !)

Je les porte ici avec un short DIY et ma marinière H&M,

tenue très basique mais qui encore une fois me correspond tout à fait !

(et la prochaine fois promis je fais des photos en extérieur! C'est pas que ma chambre universitaire ne soit pas passionnante, mais presque... ^^)

Alors voici 7 choses que vous ne saviez pas sur moi :

1) j'ai reçu un certain nombres de commentaires me disant que j'avais de la chance de vivre à Londres ! Je suis bien d'accord, mais je tiens à rétablir la "vérité" : je ne suis ici que pour 9 mois, je suis étudiante Erasmus en troisième année de licence d'anglais :) Ce séjour n'est donc que provisoire, mais je suis vraiment heureuse d'être ici et j'en profite au maximum !

2) j'aime les films assez "cheesy", les comédies romantiques où l'on sait des la deuxième minute qui va finir avec qui... Mon top 5 est :

- Love Actually

- Bridget Jones 1 & 2

- Love et ses petits désastres

- Le Diable s'habille en Prada (pas vraiment romantique mais tellement bien !)

- Twilight (je préfère les livres mais il n'empêche que je compte les jours jusqu'à la sortie du deuxième le 20 novembre :D)

3) Je ne peux pas marcher avec des talons.. C'est bien simple je n'ai jamais "appris", je n'ai pas fait de danse classique alors pour moi c'est toujours à plat !

4) Je suis obsédée par les livres de Jane Austen, je les ai tous lu, je les adore et j'ai tous les films également !

Encore une fois c'est mon côté romantique qui ressort, je trouve que les histoires sont magnifiques, avec ces histoires d'amours compliquées (mais qui finissent toujours bien), ces bonnes manières désuètes et les vêtements d'époque ! Si vous ne connaissez pas, je vous conseille de regarder Orgueil & Préjugés (pour commencer) ^^

5) Je suis rousse. Vous l'aviez sûrement remarqué.. mais peut être ne saviez-vous pas que c'est ma couleur naturelle ?

6) J'adore faire les magasins (évidemment!) mais ce que je préfère ce sont les friperies, boutiques vintage et autres charity shops..

Le secret ? Aller dans les charity shops de quartiers chics, car ce sont les gens plutôt 'fortunés' qui y laissent leurs 'vieux' vêtements, qui ne sont pas vieux du tout en fait et très souvent de grande marque !

7) And last but not least.. Je rêve de travailler dans la mode. En Angleterre. Ce qui explique les études d'anglais. En rentrant en France, je souhaite intégrer un master dans la mode, mais je ne sais pas encore exactement lequel.. alors si vous connaissez de bonnes écoles ou autres, je suis preneuse !

London wonders

Londres est definitely LA ville pour faire du shopping..

Il y en a vraiment pour tous les budgets !

Pour les étudiants (ou pas d'ailleurs) nous avons bien sûr Primark, mais pas seulement : New Look et Topshop (beaucoup moins cheap on est d'accord mais tout de même!) sont également à ne pas manquer!

Alors comme promis, voici un look 100% made in England:

(j'ai l'air de faire la tête mais en fait non ! lol)

J'adore ce pull, j'ai littéralement craqué quand je l'ai vu chez New Look, il pourrait être tout simple s'il n'avait pas les sequins au niveau des épaules..

C'est ce qu'on pourrait appeler un 'classic with a twist' -I love it!

Pour finir, un close-up sur les derbies (appelées ici 'brogues') qui m'ont coutées la modique somme de 8£ ! J'en cherchais depuis longtemps et c'est chez Primark que j'ai trouvé mon bonheur.

Désolé pour ce manque d'article, mais entre mon départ -puis- mon arrivée à Londres, je n'ai vraiment pas eu le temps !

Me voila donc de retour, avec une tenue plutôt simple, mais qui me plait (et c'est l'essentiel n'est ce pas? :)

Il est sold-out evidemment, mais le top en dentelle retrouvé dans l'armoire de ma mère fera très bien l'affaire...

Après avoir vu et revu des boyfriend jeans (version Mimnor ici sushipedro.com et Punky là punky-b.com), j'ai moi aussi fini par céder à l'appel du large !

Je l'ai voulu, je l'ai cherché, je ne l'ai pas trouvé... Puis j'ai fini par me souvenir d'un jean oublié au fin fond de mon armoire, acheté il y a plusieurs années (10£!) en Angleterre...

( Je trouve que les ballerines ont un petit air de Repetto...)

Je le trouve parfait, il est large juste ce qu'il faut, avec quelques trous pour un coté légèrement destroy, une coupe droite qui ne demande qu'à être reboulotée... Pas besoin de me ruiner alors que j'avais le boyfriend jean de mes rêves sous la main !

Je me demandais quel sujet aborder pour mon premier -vrai- article, hé bien le voila tout trouvé !

D'habitude j'évite d'aller faire les soldes le premier jour mais là c'était trop tentant, tous ces -50% !

Il y avait beaucoup beaucoup de monde hier à Lyon -comme partout ailleurs j'imagine- mais cela ne m'a pas empeché de trouver deux vêtements que j'adore déjà..

- Jean H&M Kids : un basique, une coupe droite légèrement délavé, pour le prix (9,95€) je ne pouvais décemment pas le laisser...

- Jupe Zara: à porter taille haute, je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de l'essayer dès que je suis rentrée chez moi...
